Jaflong in Sylhet is well known as the ‘Daughter of Nature’. Jaflong is located in Gowainghat Upazila of Sylhet district in Bangladesh. It is located 62 km northeast of Sylhet city at the foot of Khasia-Jainta hills. Layered piles of rocks on the banks of the Piain River attract tourists. The endless waterfalls and pebbles flowing from the heart of the mountain are very captivating. And the mountains seem to be leaning against the sky. On the other side of the border are the hills of the Indian hills. The bridge hanging over the river, the high hills, the game of white clouds like cotton made Jaflong unique. How to go:
If you want to go to Jaflong, you have to go to Sylhet first. The distance of the road from Dhaka to Sylhet is 241 km and 319 km by rail. From Dhaka’s Sayedabad bus station, buses of Sohag, Hanif, Al-Mobaraka, Shyamoli, Ena, Unique, Mamun, Saudia, Green Line, Mitali etc. leave for Sylhet. It takes 4 to 6 hours. Rent for non-AC 400 to 480 TK and AC 800 to 1200 TK. Trains like Parabat Express, Jayantika Express, Sa Pahariya Express, Udayan, Upban Express, Kalsi Express etc. leave for Sylhet from Kamalapur Railway Station. Rent varies from 80 to 1000 TK. By air, Bangladesh Biman, Jet Air, Novo Air, United Air, Regent Air and US-Bangla Biman depart daily from Dhaka Shahjalal International Airport for Sylhet. The rent usually varies from Rs 3,000 to Rs 11,000. Then you will get cars to Jaflong everywhere in Sylhet city. If you want to go by bus, you have to go to Shibganj, from there the fare to Jaflong is 60 TK. Again you can go directly to Jaflong by microbus, CNG, autorickshaw from anywhere. Reserve microbus fare is 3000 to 3500 TK. CNG autorickshaw fare is 1200 to 2000 TK.
How to go at low cost:
If you want to go to Sylhet from Dhaka at a low cost, you can choose a non-AC bus or train. Bus fare is 400 TK, and train fare is 80-200 TK. Then you have to go to Shibganj in Sylhet. From there you will go to Jaflong by local bus. The rent is 60 TK. You can also rent a microbus as a group. The fare of these round-trip microbuses is 3000 to 3500 TK.
How to go luxuriously:
From Dhaka to Sylhet you can go by AC bus, AC train and air if you want to go at ease. AC bus fare is 800 to 1100 TK per person. And on the train – AC berth 696 TK, AC seat 480 TK. Airfares range from Rs 3,000 to Rs 11,000. Then you can go directly to Jaflong by CNG / autorickshaw from anywhere in Sylhet city. Rent 1000 to 1200 TK.

Jaflong does not have much accommodation, so tourists have to stay in Sylhet. It takes less time to come and go so you can stay in Sylhet. However, the district council has a bungalow in Jaflong. There are not many food hotels in Jaflong. There is no better quality restaurant in Jaflong than the cafe Sangram in the Khasia tribal village Sangrampunji. And as it is close to Jaflong from Sylhet city, tourists can take food with them. Panchbhai, Panshi, Bhojanbari, Palki food hotels are famous in Zinda Bazar area of Sylhet. You can eat Gani Mia’s roasted khichuri at Hadarpar market.
How to eat low cost:
Since there is not much food hotel in Jaflong, take it with you. It does not cost more than 200 TK to eat and drink in different normal food hotels in Sylhet.
How to eat in a luxurious way:
There are many famous restaurants in Sylhet city. Five brothers, panshi, dining house palanquin are the most popular. These hotels have AC system. Almost all kinds of delicious and high-quality food is served here.
Advice to do that!
Return to Sylhet before evening. Stay with the locals. Rocks underwater so be extra careful while walking. As a result of lifting stones, there are deep underwater canals in some places.
